As there is no dodge button, I had to learn how to parry in order to win. At first my fighting technique was just thoughtless button mashing, buut the first boss quickly changed that. After finishing the game - I completely agree. I picked the Hard difficulty right of the bat, because somebody said it would be more enjoyable that way. I wouldn't call myself a very skilled gamer, but the combat feels really good and is quite forgiving to mistakes. I couldn't help but smile during the final boss's speech or when I defeated him. Without spoiling anything, the story itself is pretty simple but really enjoyable and gives a good chuckle constantly. I haven't played any other games in this series but that didn't cause any problems when trying to understand the story. I beat the game on hard difficulty in about 20 hours, at a leisurely pace. The game is pretty short in comparison to modern AAA games.

So I finally bit the bullet and the only thing that I regret is that didn't experience this masterpiece sooner. I'd bet that most people have heard 'Rules of Nature', 'It has to be this Way, any of the Senator's lines or one of any other memes that come from this title.
